After a moving farewell ceremony at Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport, Pope Leo XIV has left Cameroon, concluding the second leg of his third apostolic journey.
Over 200,000 faithful attended the Mass before his departure. The Holy Father is now en route to Luanda, Angola, where he will remain until April 21. His visit carries the motto: “Pilgrim of hope, reconciliation and peace, blesses Angola.” In Angola, Pope Leo will meet with President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, as well as political and religious leaders, entrepreneurs, and representatives of civil society and culture.
May this journey continue to inspire hope, unity, and peace across Africa.
